Called

Until you've seen the burning bush

and stood with feet unshod

and turned your back on Egypt's gold

and gave the world for God

Until you've heard that still small voice

That calls in temples dim

and like little Samuel make a choice

you sure cannot begin

to understand the call of God

that speaks above the din

and leads a man to something odd

forsaking home and kin

But once you've seen the glory

that's brighter than the sun

Then fear or man-made fury

can't stop what God's begun

God's men are under orders

with letters from the king

to travel land and waters

with good news of Christ to bring.
